That's there on T-Mobile too but it won't unlock.

That's been there. I just figured it was something that might need to be checked before we unlock it. Not yet though.

Pretty sure that's different from bootloader unlock? Like it's so you can use on another carrier?

This option is just a checkbox saying "Yes, I'll allow the bootloader to be unlocked, if LG allows it".
