AT&TNote 3 - Friday, September 27th @ Best Buy???

I just returned from my local Corporate AT&T store (Fort Myers Florida) and they have the Note 3 set up on display but you can't purchase one yet. I gave it a spin (never used Android before, so I am not knowledgeable about many of the functions) and I was very impressed. On the LTE network it seemed very snappy. I asked when it would be available for purchase and the sales rep took me to the front desk to ask the senior sales person and he stated very soon. He could not give me a date and stated no date had been established yet. That's UNBELIEVABLE! These corporate stores do not have a clue when this phone will be available for purchase. I told him I believe it will be on Friday the 4th, but I would check with them again early next week.

I ordered today the red Spigen Neo Hybrid Case, the Samsung 64 Gig Micro SD Card, and two Spigen screen protectors from Amazon. All will be here early next week except the case, which is scheduled to be shipped on October 7th. I will also order a Sedio Active Combo Case (includes the holster) as soon as they are available. I am excited but also nervous to get this phone as I have been an Iphone guy for several years and am not very tech savy.

That's strange because I just spoke to the manager of the Samsung Experience shop at Best Buy in The Woodlands that told me again it would be sold on the 1st. I guess we'll have to wait, and see.
Edit: Is Apple paying these places to give us the run around about a release date? Lol :P

I know this is just another an "employee told me" but, my brother works for BB Mobile, and said 100% 10/4 is release day.

Just yesterday I had an employee check the computer which said 10/1 is the release date. Called today and they said 10/4 is the date. However, does your brother know if they're allowed to fulfill pre-orders before this date if they come in early? Is this a hard date they can't break even if it's after 10/1 (AT&T original date)? It seems like BS that they can't provide the phones earlier just because AT&T apparently moved the date back due to late shipping issues or whatever.

EDIT: I've also been following this post here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2456034&page=13
People claiming hearing the same things we are except for 1 guy saying an AT&T store in NY is selling them right now. That store might be in trouble if that's the case. But who knows.

10/1 is stock date (when it is drop shipped to the store) but 10/4 is the floor date in the system (cant sell until 10/4)

Wouldn't 10/4 for AT&T corporate stores make sense if they're shipping out preorders 10/1 - 10/2?

I actually got hold of a nearby corporate store who said they're shipping on October 1st and will be on shelves October 4th. The other corporate store I tried wouldn't answer their phone, go figure (this store is consistent in not answering their phone, though). And an authorized retailer I tried doesn't know a concrete date, just that they'll be sold the first week of October.

The general consensus seems to boil down to in store on the 4th and pre orders shipping on the 1st which would mean that pre orders would get theirs first like it usually happens. Hopefully I get mine on the 2nd since I paid for overnight shipping.

I've been reading on here for about 2 days. Made my 1 call today to see if my nearest AT&T store had the Note 3. The girl said yes and I asked if they were for sale and she again said yes. So I went there and they told me they don't have them for sale. (Girl who answered was obviously an *****). They did have a white one on display though. So I spent 10 min playing around. The phone kills my Note 2. The screen is so beautiful. And it's so light. I have mine pre ordered through AT&T. I remember people were saying the same stuff all of you were when the Note 2 was coming out. Pre-orders always get it first. No matter how many conflicting reports you get. I'd bet anything on it.

So the DEMO unit is out of best buy? From what you play with and seen, is it a significant upgrade to the Note 2?

my local att store also had a demo unit. They also sold a white unit this morning. The manager was pissed when he found out they sold unit. I found 2 other white units at other att stores, but they were reserved.
the store manager told me Oct 3rd!

From an online Best Buy chat:
Rep: "October 4 is the release date. This is when [online] pre-orders will begin shipping out. Depending on the shipping option you selected at the time, the delivery time may vary."
Me: "I pre-ordered a couple of weeks ago in store."
Rep: "Pre-orders will be fulfilled before the phone is available for purchase in stores."
(Sounds less confused and informal and more factual and formal.)

This is probably indicative of a supply issue and why the date was pushed back. Hopefully it holds true. Hopefully those who wanted the phone earlier get the phone earlier. We'll see.

Seems to me the rep is still confused given there is no difference in in-store and online pre-orders........

But there is, right? Someone who bought it online could've paid for priority shipping 1-3 instead of regular 3-5+ and that would determine the delivery date. Best Buy can get the phones in stock very quickly and independently of the system used for online orders. Eh?

Just left my local ATT store. Played around with the device. Holy crap amazing. But anyways, I was told and shown a date of the 3rd. He wouldn't let me take a picture of the screen Haha. So we shall see.

I've never seen stores put the demo up before the launch you would think that would cause so many problems
