Atrix Display and Comments

Well, as seen by the nexus/s gingerbread upgrades... The color temps can be adjusted by the manufacturer if they choose to do so. If all you really care about is that the screen pops at you then why are you even asking here. Go ahead and get yourself the older generation android phones man. They're still plenty sufficient for anything you're probably going to do anyway. But if you get that phone at around the same price, then ask yourself if the price is enough to justify the fact that you just care that the screen pops at you. Personally I wouldn't pay the same price for a phone that is lower spec'd just because the screen is bigger or has nicer color tones but you made it clear that you care more about that so all power to you. Be decisive.

Please stop fighting, I asked for Help not Fight and Boiling Tempers- Sanjay Jha who is the Head of Motorola Mobility announced this phone having a "Spectacular Display" and Spectacular Performance-

There is a "Implication" that the Display is "Near" IPhone resolution and Quality.
In fact it is not even near the display quality of a Retina Display- Im not looking for a Apple IPhone- Im looking for a High End Android with a top notch Display. For Instance, I saw the Droid X, The Display Jumps at you and says "Take Me Home with You", and without any technical assistance The X display actually looks nicer than the Atrix Display! How can that be?

There has been much talk about Anroid Higher OS Gingerbread and Honeycomb coming and the need for High End Processors, and Nividia Graphic accelerators for them to work- There was also comment on Motorolas site about the colors of the Atrx being moved to 32bit from 24 bit- on the upgrade. The Atrix fits that "bill" perfectly-

So basically, I understand all new phone have problems, however is this fixable with a new OS Upgrade like Gingerbread or Honetcomb or Icecream?

I am looking for a "High Quallity, High End Display" not to waive around and show my neighbors, "Look what I have" I want it to see better and do better-

That honestly can't be answered by anyone but yourself. Is the display crap? That's for you to determine. Certain things can't be fixed with any sort of software upgrade. The pentile RGBW matrix can't be fixed, it's the way the display was desgined. If that bothers you then it might be best to go with another phone. If what bothers you is the color issues, that may be fixed with a software update, but that all depends on motorola.

You don't need a high-end anything for gingerbread to work. Honeycomb is for tablets, you won't see that on a phone... and ice cream is a long ways off.

I suggest you look at the phones you like and find one you are happy with. I'd go into this thinking that nothing is fixable and if you still want to keep the phone then stay with an atrix, if you can't then move on and find something you like.

Oh I'm sorry, it seems we may have offended your wife, the atrix. It's ok you can take her back to bed and tell her how we are just jealous and that her screen is just as good as the Iphone 4... then you can show her your pocket and how happy you are to see her.

Lol sorry but I think the display looks fantastic... and it as fast if not faster than I expected. People need to step back and realize that little candybar phone probably has more computing power that all computers available in 1970.
