Since the Atrix has been out for quite some time. I wanted to know what you guys think whether to get an Atrix or hold out for the Bionic.

id def hold out for the bionic. it will prob have a better updated more compatible (with dual cores anyway) os version. plus verizons 4G is insanely fast. as someone with att/atrix the 4g is nonexistent......smh I just want a revamped og droid with true 4G an front facing camera (and obviously other updated specs/gingerbread onboard). thatd be illllllllll

The Bionic having only 512mb of RAM is gonna slow that phone down. Thats my.only problem with it. I love my Atrix and cant and wont use anything else. The specs on the Atrix should be the min for dual core IMO.

The reason why the Atrix has 1GB of ram is that 512MB is for android and the other 512 is for webtop.

True but the extra ram is going to be useful in the long run once developers start making super apps for these devices. Yes 512MB is enough for daily use of any Android device but we as techy's always want more :).

My only squabble with Motorola is the encrypted locked boot-loader. Also I've had my eye on the thunderbolt for quite some time so I might snatch one up. And later this year buy an unsubsidized Bionic.

bionic no brainer. first reason is because it's on verizon. they are known to test the hell out of everything they release. it will also have ddr2 so slightly faster performance than the atrix with out the DDR2. not sure about the OS being optimized by that time though. if it is, it's also going to be updated for atrix anyways. though once the devs figure out how to use the full 1ghz ram, that might be a game changer there. all in all, i love my atrix, but i would go with the bionic instead. the only thing that will bother me a little is the larger screen with the same resolution which won't be as sharp as the atrix

Lets get this straight, the Atrix has DDR2 also. You need to do some more research before posting incorrect info.

I believe he was saying ddr2 aside the Bionic would outshine the Atrix I don't think he was implying the Atrix doesn't have it.

um atrix has ddr2..

Att? Choose atrix. Verizon? Choose bionic. Nothing between these two devices warrants a contact ETF.
