I migrated to my GS3 from a Motorola Atrix 4G. Google Maps Navigation is one of my most frequent applications and I have found a really weird issue. With the Atrix, the phone rendered the map and then the map moved as I drove. It worked great. The GS3 does the same except that the screen seems to spontaneously redraw frequently which appears like a brief flash of the screen. I find it annoying and distracting and the Atrix never did it. Interestingly, Waze does not do this and behaves as the Atrix did. This brings me to my question, is this an issue that others see? (My guess is that this is a software issue with GMaps, but am not certain.) Is there something that we can do to address it? (I am running the latest stock firmware which is 4.1.1.)
