ATT Note 3 update 4.4.4?????

Samsung Service Center at Best Buy told me he could do nothing but a factory restore since my phone had been "rooted"? Im confused because I have not rooted or jail broke the phone. Don't even know how if I wanted too. My note 3 phone has never left my possession.

It is the 4.4.4 update. Not seeing too much difference but supposedly more bug fixes and battery improvements than anything. I use Nova Prime so perhaps aesthetically it will seem even less different than 4.4.2 compared to stock Touchwiz.

I got the update a little bit ago (days-weeks) and since then I have had a weird problem. Every time I restart my phone, it goes through the process of updating the 86 apps that it did when I got the update. It says, "Android is upgrading...." every time.

Anyone notice that with 4.4.4 update, the expandable notifications are already expanded. I hate expanded notifications. Any way to turn this off?

Only thing I've seen is that the LED bar at the top turned bright green for a bit, long enough for me to notice! Then it went back to black or blue. No other silliness.

Check for updates people. I did last night and got a patch. Fixed the GPS and made the phone a bit snappier.

Worst update ever!!!:mad: I installed it on the 18th Feb 2015, Put it on charge all night and woke up to 90% charge. I lose 10% every 15 min even if I'm not doing anything. Also my smart cover wont work properly now. When I flip it close it wont lock the screen. It actually will remain on the open app. I haven't noticed any speed improvements. I also didn't have any bugs on the 4.4.2. I have noticed that some of my games are slower. Very disappointed. If I hadn't bought into the payment plan:'( I would be on Sprint right now. First chance I get I'm switching carriers.

The best way to resolve this isn't one you'll like to hear, but factory reset the device first, then update without installing any other apps. This will ensure a clean install.

Came home last night and saw the update notice. Phone was at 4n% power so I plugged in the recharger and hit go.
Left it for half hour or so and then I had to unlock the SIM. Definitely different look to somethings - keyboard for instance and I couldn't find device info at first. But yes am at 5.0 now.
Left it to finish charge on airplane mode overnight. Been "on" maybe 1/2 hour battery at 97% but that's what I've seen before. Back to usual grind tomorrow so that'll show my typical battery usage. Will post if I see anything radical.

No real issues so far. Did see the battery icon show up twice on the same screen one time, i. e. once on the top right _and_ top left.

I think I've gotten longer battery life - right now at 66% and has been on all day. And more reception - I heard a message come through this afternoon on my way home where I had never thought to look for a signal. Didn't have the phone in my hand so can't say if it was 4G or what. Keep forgetting to test the GPS signal.

Longer battery life more or less confirmed (for me). I turn everything I can off between usage, location especially.
To that end the icon I'm calling "kill all" is just the best thing since sliced bread!
And the comma on the main keyboard - fantastic.
