Att pre order date exclusive red color

Personally, the smaller internal storage doesn't matter to me with cloud storage. I have a 32gb external SD that I can always plop in it and more than enough storage.

To me, it's a not an issue.

AKA a extra $39 to at&t and not to Samsung for a different phone. For at&t it keeps the price point the same as iphone and one x and they make pure profit when some one buys the SD card as a accessory. Most people buy a case and car charger at the store as well, add the sd card and they are looking at another $100+ going to them when they sell the phone for $199.

For this reason i never buy accessories at at&t, amazon is the way to go. :D

AT&T has had a "buy two, get one free" sale going on for a long, long time now. If you buy a case and a memory card, you'll get the car charger for free. Regardless, you're adding up in your own mind, when other carriers are selling the 32GB version for $250, and AT&T is selling the 16gb device an a $39 memory card, adding up to 32GB for less money than the 32GB device. Where's the issue?

Quite frankly, more people will probably want a red one, than a 32Gb one with a uSD card slot. You can get 80Gb in your phone (16Gb + 64Gb) for less than $300 (including phone), or you could get 32Gb for $300 (I'm assuming) without using an SD card. What one would you choose?

Now, I understand that there are some people that feel 80Gb isn't enough. You guys are in a huge minority. More people will want a red phone than will want more than 80Gb.

Well, maybe I have issues with my card and it is the card, not the phone. My Skyrocket has issues recognizing files occasionally. Some Apps I have loaded on my sd card. The phone has issues when I reboot or especially when I have apps update. The icon shows the app, but its grayed out. Like the directory is there, but not the app.
I have to go back into play store and redownload or reboot again and hope it shows up.
Also music files don't show up sometimes. Not like they disappear, but when I add to my card the phone doesn't recognize the file. I know it is there, because it shows up when I pull up the directory on pc when phone is connected.

More disappointed by lack of 32 gb than lack of exynos.

I've used microSD cards in many many devices, never once had this issue. I'd say it's not a problem with microSD cards in general, you just have a dud somewhere in that pipeline. They happen in both internal and external storage devices. Makes you glad that with an external one, the fix is much much cheaper.

Ferrari of fire engine red? Or maybe it will be sort of a fuscia or candy apple red? I was hoping for bright yellow myself so that the world can see how outrageous my phone is not to mention how BIG... LOL.

Seriously folks, the 16 gig comes as no surprise, though as others have chimed in, there IS the microSD slot for up to 32 gigs additional and then there's the 50 gig Dropbox account too, yes? I just want to see the damned thing in the store before doing anything.

Up to 64Gb microSD card.

Ok, so down to the real business.
Can we preorder in store?
Do we have to prepay or have a deposit?
If we preorder in store, how long do we have to pick it up?

Thursday is a work day, do not get off until 5.

What time do the preorders start, midnight?

Any help is MUCH appreciated!
Didn't get a chance to call the store myself.

16 GB is fine beacuse of the SD slot. I have a 32 GB card in my Inspire that I can swap into the S3.

Here are the specs for the American versions,

Note the Micro SD slot on the V. :)

But One V is not the One X.

One more thing the microSDXC slot in GS3 is not limited 64GB max. It is just that currently only 64GB cards are widely available. The microSDXC standards allows storage space up to TBs. So, in the near future, if there are 128GB cards, you can put in it and the phone will take it.

It supports up to a 64 GB card.

There is no issue, it's about the accessories. Any retail store that sells phones, game systems, tv's make very little money on those items. They make the most off the money on marked up over priced accessories. When you buy a 32gb version of the phone that's a 32gb version that cost AT&T more and made more for Samsung. When you buy a 16gb and a memory card that's less that AT&T paid for the phone and they make more money off the sd card and Samsung makes less. The 2 for 1 sale sounds like a good deal, but only if the accessories are not over priced to begin with. Chances are you can buy all 3 accessories at amazon and pay less then you would for 2 at AT&T.

did any one get an email yet ???? im still waiting on Official word. also

pre-orders for at&t is it online only or both web and instore

AT&T is going to push those sd cards like Best Buy pushes extended warranties and Monster Cables. It is almost pure profit for them. Poor naive newbies are gonna get told that they NEED the sd card so they can store all their pics, video and music.

There's no reason for anyone to pay $39 for a 16b card direct from at&t. Not when amazon is selling them for as little as $3 (or a 32gb class 10 for about $39) Then again, there's no reason to pay $100 for an HDMI cable from Best Buy, but it happens everyday. I don't really care; retail stores charge obscene amounts for most of their products. Smart consumers use the other options available to them. If you don't do your research, be prepared to pay more. :-$

Me? I'm pissed off at least a little bit that at&t is pulling this limited storage crap and continually gimping their top-tier android phones (compared to intl./other us carriers). But I intend to buy a 64gb card either way, which will provide me with adequate space for all my digital mathoms.

Agreed, in store shistuff is WAYYY over priced.

As much as I like having more space on my phone. I have a tendency to use my sd card more than I use my internal storage. Just so that way I can swap it into another phone, or if the phone breaks, etc. As I've learned with my Galaxy Nexus only having on board storage is kind of annoying.

Excellent info! Thanks
