Good morning. I had an ATT Galaxy S8+ that had a bootloop issue that I have not been able to fix. Posted about it back in Oct here. https://forums.androidcentral.com/s...A1.2.562057125.1545311239&passport=1545311351

Have since replaced it with a Note 9. However would love to fix the S8+ to use it for something or donate to a friends son or daughter.

I tried to follow this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VTi3uBkpJic using Odin, however when I could get it to go through a SHA256 invalid error popped up. Had read there was a different version of Odin to use for that, but not sure which nor where to get the firmware codes. Any assistance much, much appreciated.

Just a quick note of thanks for the response. I got it to the start screen once thinking it was going to actually take off & run. However, it just went right back to boot loop mode. Have messed with this thing for hours trying to salvage it for some use. Am not sure if I am doing something wrong or if the phone is unrecoverable.

Did you reflash the entire ROM? I would really suggest doing that as opposed to flashing only sections of it.

Make sure Samsung drivers are up to date on your PC.

Drivers are up to date. But have gotten the fail message a couple of times when trying to flash it. Have tried both firmware for both 7.0 & 8.0 just seeing if one or the other would pass. Have also watched numerous youtube vids trying to learn if am doing anything wrong & clueless at this point.

Have you tried running Odin as an Administrator, or a different version of Odin?

Have tried another version of Odin as that was mentioned for the sha256 thing. Will look at running as administrator when I get back tonight. Thanks for the suggestion.
