I had certain risque pictures on my HTC from my Mrs which I appropriately placed in an album and " hid " it from view.

Having the new phone I knew my buddies would all want to " test/handle " my phone thus was careful not to leave her pictures lying in The Gallery for viewing ??

Guess what ?? I got home this evening after a night out with a few buddies who of course went thru my phone ...... I just realized that the " attachment " album ( which is hidden mind you ) was on FULL display on the very first and top box of BLINK

I checked right away if by chance the album became unhidden but it still is soooo why if we're hiding something would it be on BLINK ??

Nooo my buddies did not mention anything to me about my wife's pictures so I'm not even sure if they had seen anything ??? Who's really interested in Blink no  ??

And yeessss they were all very impressed with my new HTC One :)

Sorry for the rant but I'd like to avoid any future embaressing moments as this evening ??

Thank you in advance

Hi omgitsjoe, we are going to need to see the image in question in order to thoroughly diagnose this problem. ;)

Press the power button and the home button together and voila - a screenshot :p

Maybe you should consider one of the vault apps which remove the photos, and other files/videos/contacts, from the visible section of the device and hold them within...that is what I have and will make sure the pictures of your wife are in there once you have done the screenshot ;)

But he HAS to show the screenshot with the mrs. clearly visible for us to be able to make a complete analysis of his problem.....

Yeah, you would have to manually create a .nomedia file.

See this thread for example http://forums.androidcentral.com/htc-one-x/208170-why-dont-nomedia-files-work.html

My experience is that .nomedia works for some things and not others, but it would be worth a try.

Personally I put THOSE pictures in a Dropbox album. No one I know would glance in there. Plus I put them a couple folders deep just to be certain.

Did you put them in a hidden directory or a directory apart from your other media files?
A hidden directory like .wife works for me.

Just get Hide It Pro (The free version is what I have) from the Play store.
No muss, no fuss, no pics showing up on Blinkfeed or any other photo app.
You're welcome.

Dual tribute to one of my favorite TV shows and webOS, which I wish had had a longer life. That said, I love Android and my One.

The picture does not show in Blink either anymore :) whheeeew !

I miss webOS so much. I often wonder where it would be today if not for, well palm and hp.
