audio issue with my vivid

I'm having an audio issue with music player on my vivid. I have songs stored both on my phone and on my ad card. Everything will play fine for awhile and the I will lose the volume but only to the songs stored on my ad card the songs stored on my phone still play normal. If I restart everything works normal again for awhile. Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it or an easier way to reset it other than rebooting my phone? Thanks for all the help. My vivid is doing pretty much the same thing. Videos online will not stream audio when this happens as well. I only noticed the audio issues after the upgrade to android 4.0. This is so frustrating!
