Whenever I use earphones with my HTC One there is a reasonable amount of static. It's enough so that at lower volume levels, such as watching a TV show, you can feel the static dipping in and out with the voices and it is very distracting whilst trying to watch/listen to something. The same happens when listening to music, although it is not as apparent as the music is usually louder and masks the static.
I got the phone only today and have just noticed this when trying to play videos from various sources. Coming from an iPhone I have never had this problem. There is still static with the iPhone however it is a lot quieter and can only really be picked up on by taking the earphones out of the device and realizing that there was a noise. I have tried disabling beats audio, and while it helped it is still way too prevalent. I have tried three sets of earphones (including the set that come with the device) and all three suffer about as bad as each other. I have also read that better quality earphones may reduce the issue however seeing as these earphones worked fine with an iPhone, I would expect the same or better.
I was wondering if there is a fix or if this is just how the device is. I love the phone and so far this is my only problem, and seeing as about 70% of my time with the phone will involve audio it is quite a nuisance.
