Audio stuck on mute

For some reason while trying to listen to music my audio is muted and will not un mute. Rebooting phone is the only thing that fixes it.

I've had this before and the only fix is to reboot to phone as you already figured out. I've noticed some third party texting applications such as TextPlus may cause this if you hit the volume button while the app is opened.
