Auto factory reset!

I just noticed this under settings>lock screen.

This option is turned on by default. If the incorrect pin to log in your phone is entered 10 times incorrectly, the phone resets itself and deletes all your data.

My three year old will attempt to log into my phones till they shut down. I'm glad I saw this when I did, I'd hate to lose all my info!

Its not on mine. Just looked because my son swipes his finger trying to unlock my phone w his fingerprint. Its not there on mine.
 
I have the AT&T model and this option is not on my phone. To the OP what carrier are you on?
 
Not a part of AT&T phone, unless it isn't an option. I wish I had root, I would give it a shot and see if it standard... LoL
 
I have Verizon and it's turned on on my phone. But I unchecked it
