The Post-OTA method looks pretty much the same as the Pre-OTA with the exception that the custom upgrade ruu is the modified MR1 (1.13.605.7) instead of the modified factory 1.12.605.6.

I think it will be fine..try the latest version from a few pages back. or post asking if anyone has tried my auto root since the updateI wonder if anyone has tried it yet, and if it was successful... I would hate to brick or run into issues.. I used to have the Hinc and knew it inside and out... but I am a little more nervous the TBOLT...
I used the MR1 auto root yesterday on a TB that had already done the OTA upgrades... no problems. The only thing I did differently was select the "Stay awake" as well as the USB debugging mode.
Screen never went blank until I pushed the power button for the reboots!
Now to root my wife's phone.![]()
An update in your OP would be great regarding the new OTA. I know some other people that are wondering the same thing.... thanks againThanks so much , let me know how hers goes and then i will post it in the OP![]()

FYI: other specs that may have made a difference.
I had already installed HTC Sync and the Android SDK.
I don't know if these are prerequisites for the MR1, but I was getting ready to do the manual version when I happened upon your update.
When I attempt to MR1 my wife's phone, it will be on a different machine that I haven't yet installed these.
Will I need to? Do you want me to attempt it without installing these first?
A few pages back I posted a test version of auto root with that modified ruu
in progress of Rooting NOWwill post back in when complete....
ROOT SUCCESSFUL!!!!!!!!!! Thank you very much
yes sirCan I root the phone using MR1 if my phone has not had the OTA update? It's still stock since Day 1. First time rooter and Android user. Thx!
yes sir
One last question, if the MR1 contains the new modified radio from the OTA, will I have the problems (reboot and battery problems) many are having or will it be ok?
no idea as it varys per device
