Use Titanium Backup or MyBackup Pro and backup your apps and data and your game settings will be fine when you restore. If you need help with either of the apps.. just ask. If your contacts are synced with your gmail account, they are automatically backed up and can be re-synced when setting up your account on the phone.

Hi everybody! I don't know if this has been asked. Sorry if it has. Can I install clockwork recovery now that I used this method to root? If so, how? This is pretty important for me. Thanks!

No problem...yea MBP does both. I just started using it a month ago. I still prefer Titanium overall for all its features but for simple backups of apps and data MBP does the job. I've been using a combo of both apps together.

MyBackup use to be only for unrooted devices but now supports rooted also with more features.

Edit: ^ yea, you need to be rooted for the advanced features ^

This is my first android, so I'm a rooting noob.

Do I need to download and replace the ADB replacement files even though this is my first rooting?

Ok cool.

So after rooting.. are these the normal steps afterwards?

-reboot
-install Rom Manager from market
-Flash clockworkmod
-reboot
-backup my current stock rom using nandroid

-download BAMF
-leave .zip in main directory of sd card
-reboot into recovery/wipe cache/install/etc etc..

done?

DroidXcon,

I need your help. I updated the radio before I installed a rom like the instructions in the rom said and now I am stuck cause the radio won't work thus I have no apps, can't access the market, etc. And it doesn't think I'm rooted cause I can't update Titanium Backup....
