So I'm following all the steps for the auto root however in step 1, after it pushes the files to my phone, it just skips to the next screen which says to choose the bootloader option and press power... However, my phone doesn't give me that option and I honestly don't know what might be going on here. Thanks for the help

Can anyone help? I might be stuck. I went thru the first process.

Plugged the phone back in and its recognized, pressed any key, removing old and installing new pg05img.zip, please be patient may take several minutes.

Its been about 5 minutes. This is my wife's phone. I did my phone last week and it didn't seem to take as long here. Wondering if its hung up? Thanks

NVM my last post. An hour of tweaking some things and not only did I avoid bricking my phone, i got root working. If anyone is having a similar problem, I fixed it by temporarily moving the pg05img file from the folder everything is located in during step one. I believe it was pushing that instead of the downgrade version since that fixed my problem. Just remember to move it back right after step 1

I dont see how that is possible unless someone renamed the files

Honestly man, I don't either. It may have been tied in to some random glitch but that's what worked. Cant explain it besides just luck I guess. But it ended up working in the end, so thanks.

yeah i guess, i have seen some funny stuff last couple of days, For instance the PMSLEEP command has been working on almost everyones computer but yesterday i was working with someone and it would not work at all, i had to remove them all from the script to get it to work. So i mean anything is possible, but as long as you got it to work. Congrats :)

A little help please.

I apologize in advance if there is a fix for my issue, but I have been searching all morning and could find a fix. Here goes

1. Installed HTC several weeks ago with no problem. Worked fine

2. Attempted auto root last night and got stuck on fastboot.

3. Tried to connect via HTC sync as normal. The device isn't recognized.

4. Unistalled/re-installed HTC sync with the same result.

5. I get the "HTC Sync port not responding" message.

My assumption is the HTC sync problem is my issue with auto root (I could be wrong). Any help is appreciated. I am running Windows 7 32 bit. I was using the back USB ports to autoroot. However I am not sure which port I used for HTC sync when it worked, probably both.

USB debugging is set to ON?
USB connection is set to CHARGE ONLY?
Maybe try again and make sure HTCsync is uninstalled and reinstall it.

If that doesn't work pm DroidXcon and I'm sure he'll get it all worked out.

Nothing. I just sat there. I waited a while (took a shower and came back) and I never got to the point where it said I would see checked files.

You need to press the power button once when it gets to Hboot. I think "bootloader" is highlighted. This will get you to fastboot where it'll start loading the update.

You may have to uninstall HTC Sense, reboot and reinstall.

Both times I used autoroot, it recognized my serial number.
