Autocorrect malfunction

Why does the autocorrect on this Samsung phone keep replacing words that are correct and how do I make it stop doing that? This is just plain stupid!

Welcome to Android Central! Can you give an example? It's possible that you might have accidentally saved a typo to your personal dictionary, and when you type that word again correctly, it's autocorrecting with the wrong spelling. Try typing the word correctly, and see if the misspelling shows up as a suggestion. Long-press the misspelling, and see if you can Remove it.
