Automatic time zone and date/clock are wrong

Ever since the time change my clock has the right time but a 12 hours off so when its pm it says am, I read some of the other posts and went to my settings; time and date, I seen that my auto clock and time zone boxes where not checked, once I checked them the correct time displayed, I hope that helps.....
Suddenly, the phone's clock started showing a time that was offset by two hours for my local time.

I deselected automatic time zone and auto date/time and set them manually. If I return it to automatic, it will show my precise location but the timezone and local time would be offset by two hours (earlier, not later).

Currently, I have auto date/time and selected my time zone automatically. It shows the right date and time but the screen showing my current position still shows the clock two hours behind.

Has anyone experienced this?

Similar problem here. Both my dad & I have Motorola Droid Turbos - I just got mine yesterday. Both are saying we're in the Alaskan Time Zone, when set to Automatic Time Zone, even though we're in NE Oregon - located closer to the Mountain Zone than Alaskan. I've tried all suggestions, but it won't stay on the correct zone (Pacific) for more than a moment unless I set it manually. Ugh.

I have the "DROID RAZR MAXX HD" ,"Android version 4.4.2" plz help.

I tried to set my home time zone in Google Calendar, which is Alaska, but it won't let set anything for the US other than Central Time or Hawaii-Aleutian time or Samoa. Alaskan's often get the shaft, especially with shipping matters, and sometimes we are treated worse than third world counties, but you can't even do US Pacific or US Eastern time on Google Calendar, much less Alaskan time. Come on Google, you're supposed to be one of the world leaders in IT but you can't even set a stupid clock?

If I choose the (Cairo +3) it affects some apps, and if choose any other zone with +2 it affects other apps!!!

Hi,
I'm facing the same problem with my HTC m9, I chose the preset Cairo Time zone GMT+3, and I disabled the automatic time and date provided by the network and I set the mobile time and date myself.
I am still not sure if the time stamps on the mobile are all correct or not.
Did you manage to find a work-around for this issue?

Ugh. So sad to see this issue following me. I had the same problem on my iPhone. Really sad to not even have a reliable clock in 2015.
Is everyone here using verizon? I suspect this is either a carrier issue or a small bit of open source code maybe that has been used by both Google and apple. Uncanny that the same exact behavior is occurring across these OSs

Verizon droid turbo, mine just started doing it last night. Had to deselect auto timezone since it was putting me in mountain time for some reason

This thread may be old, but it still comes up in Google searches.

I just spent several hours fighting with Android's time zones. It wouldn't even let me select a UTC+0 city that doesn't change between winter/summer time (e.g., Reykjavik).

After searching and searching I came across google's bug forum, where they recommended TimeZone Changer app: https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...ils?id=com.futurek.android.tzc&token=so4ACHfk

(google's bug tracker forum: https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/36957647)

Hope you will find this useful.

I also found this topic from Google. The time in the top status bar always had me 1hr behind. My fix was to update the PRL and Profile. The second the update completed, the time flipped correct.

It is horrible because when I change it to auto time zone it does the wrong time and when I do manual time zone my time zone is not there and I am in a well known place
