Automatically add area code when dialing (Missing feature?)

On my Note 3 I was able to store a default area code so that when I dialed, the area code would automatically be entered. I just got a S6 Edge+ and it appears this feature is gone.

Am I missing something?

It would be nice to launch the dialer and have 1-123 already be entered (for example).

Definitely would be great if you lived in a village with one area code
