Automatically Connect to BT Headset for Audio?

It's not a huge deal but a bit of a pain to have to go into settings and select bluetooth headset on my watch every time I want to listen to music. Is there a setting I'm missing that will automatically connect when I switch the headset on?

Strange. Not only using a Samsung wearable, but also a Samsung Level U Pro. Seems to me they should talk to each other seamlessly without me having to check settings on my S3 every time.

I have Jaybird X3 headset and it connects to my Frontier as soon as I power up the headset?? I have to adjust whether to use the watch or the phone each time because I change the source quite often but never*need to reconnect to either the phone or the watch.
