.avi player for honeycomb

Anyone have any insight on if .avi files can be played from honeycomb, specifically the xoom, devices? i am download a movie from my house right now to my xoom, that is avi, and I want to know if it is going to work.

It should be able to, but it's also going to depend on what the .avi container was encoded with. Here's a list of file formats officially supported:

I tried the same thing but it wouldn't play the .avi with the standard player. I had to download a player from the Market to use.
So far QQPlayer is the one I've found that seems to work well (only tried 1 movie so far though)

yea rockplayer didnt work either and its standard avi hmmm....

That is weird. I have tried Maridian and found it looks better than rockplayer but does not support AVI files. Rockplayer played AVI files for me but I am having skipping problems and force close on 1 of every 3 plays...

I am using Moboplayer, working for my avi file.

I use Diceplayer its amazing, highly recommended it even plays 720p MKV's without an issue.
