Avoid watch face dimming?

Hi,
Just got an LG Watch R but even though I set Screen always on, the watch face changes to a dim version after 5 seconds. Until I touch the screen or tilt the watch.
Is there any way to stop that behavior? I want the face always fully ON, not switching to a 2nd version showing just needles and some numbers?

Thanks for any help, this is really getting on my nerves. Especially that the "reaction" delay to bring the face back is taking about 1 second, which is too long (I know it's slow Java under the hood, but still)...

Hi,
The Settings -> Always On is already checked.
Problem is that the watch face displays for 3 seconds and then switches to another one, dimmer, always on, but not the original.
I need to touch the screen or tilt the watch to "wake up" the original face.

The link you provide talks about 3 options, but there are only 2: On or Off
The bothering thing is that by the time you just check the time, it switches back to a low consumption face. This on ALL selections.
Very upsetting.

No, I don't think you really want it to be always on...unless you plan to charge more than once a day...

[edit]: You can get watch faces where the dim mode is pretty much the same as the lit mode, you should check out watchmaker...

Ok thanks,
I don't intend to have it 24/24 but at least 1 minute or so, not 3 seconds. I mean, by the time Java reacts to the touch and switches from dimmed to full, it takes about 1 second already, at least.

I think I'm better off making a screen myself that has two identical faces

Watchmaker also lets you set the timeout before dim mode...you can set it for at least 30 seconds, don't remember the max.

Download StayLitWear from google play store! Works wonders! You simply select on it how long you want the face to stay visible from 5 seconds up to 5 minutes and there is even an "Indefinitely" option. The only thing I will warn you about that setting is that if you leave the face on constantly not only will your battery suffer tremendously, but the nature of the screen on the watch is susceptible to "Burn In" and that it not good at all. Try it out and let me know :)

Thanks, just bought Watchmaker Premium...
The problem is it handles only 1 watch at a time. I can't have 20 of them in my watch without using an Android device to send it each time I want to send a face. Too bad.

IIRC, you can use tasker and weartasker to trigger face changes from the watch itself.

But how do you upload all the faces to the watch for weartasker to switch them?
WatchMaker only uploads one at a time. That's my main problem.

You don't. Your tasker task uses the change watchface plugin to load the new face from the phone. May not be a suitable approach for what you want but it is possible.

Ha ok then.
Well I don't have an Android phone, so I'm stuck. I was hoping to rely only on the watch.
Thanks anyway.

Not sure why you even have an AW watch in that case? Kind of useless without a connected phone...

Well,
I got a basic Galaxy tablet, but for development purposes only, and I rarely cary it around me. So no way to interact with the watch.
Since I bought this latter for development as well, I'd better wear it instead of keeping it on my desk.
Ok then. Thanks all anyway.
