AWE custom ringtones

I was trying to add a ringtone to a contact. I tried going into the contact and pressing the edit key.
There is an option there to add a ringtone but it is only the standard ringtones listed.

I uploaded the tone that I want to use and put it in the ringtone folder.

I have tried playing the ringtone that I have and seeing if there is an option there to add it to a contact but no joy there either.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forums. You can try an app that can make ringtones. It might modify the file to one that the OS can read it as a ringtone. Or there is an app called Zedge that already has ringtones properly set up. I think you can assign them to a specific contact.

ZEDGE™. Or you can use Ringtone Maker. Or Audacity in a PC, then copy the file to the phone.
