Awesome Costco deal!!

I have been a costco member for a long time. I remeber years ago they would give you a day membership to try it out for free. If that is something they are still doing maybe some non members can still get in to costco and get the phone deal. Not sure but may be worth checking out.
 
Hmm. Just for clarification for those of you at year 1 of your previous contract as I am, I went back and looked at the upgrade they are offering and basically they aren't giving me anything "extra" off from the normal 2 year contract price. They are just allowing me to get the 2 year price after only 1 year. Originally i thought they were giving me an extra $50 back, but it doesn't appear to be the case, or at least it isn't happening on all devices.
 
If you have problems you can still go to the VZW store for warranty issues, you can stil get insurance on the phone and file a claim. Not sure why you are concearned.

I was unsure if I could actually take it to a VZW store still or if I would have to go back to a COSCO. If what you say is true, then yes I have no concern.
 
What about my Employer discount of 20%? Can the the Costco Wireless Advocates carry that over into my renew?
 
Completely agree lol. BUT, I was reading that the Webtop had native citrix receiver capabilities so i figured may as well use it. If it had a native Remote Desktop client, i'd ditch citrix in a heartbeat but it does have its place. to run citrix I have to have the Citrix Web Interface, Citrix Licensing Server, and Presentation Server so i built 2 VM's (one with WI and CL) and one with PS which is where i actually get logged onto the desktop. With remote desktop, i could avoid all that and just RDP straight to my desktop :(

You could just use the free Wyse Pocket Cloud app to RDP.

You think that would work full-screen on the Webtop app? Thats the reason i chose citrix. The Webtop app, stock out of the box, does not let you install applications that will run at the resolution available to Webtop. They would run at the phone resolution which would be too low.
 
Have we confirmed if Costco will allow us to purchase at full retail? Or can they only do upgrades?

If you are not changing your plan they aren't doing anything more than just renewing your contract for another 2 years and giving you a subsidized phone. Why don't you just head in there with a list of questions to ask them? Seems like you have more than the average consumer.

Then why join a forum If I get told to "just head in there and ask them"?

My questions are legit and could be of use to others in the same boat.

Because I live 30 miles from the place.

Because this forum ifs for us to ask for, and offer help if we can.

Don't jump on my back again or I'll report your post to a moderator.

If you do not like a post or have a helpful answer I suggest we just move on.

Holy crap Gapi. Calm down. There was nothing wrong with his suggestion and I think you may have taken it as rude vs. a suggestion that I too think may be worth following. Maybe call instead of walking in due to the distance and then you can post to this forum and help others with the same questions. Unless there was some personal private message sent to you that i'm missing, you are jumping on his back. Everyone calm down and return to the regularly scheduled program.
 
I just called local Costco. Was told they would have the bundle but didn't know for sure when it would launch. He said it would be on sale at Costco when it was on sale everywhere else, but didn't know when. How is that possible?

Maybe I need to explain why all the questions.

When someone tells you to C'mon down and get the phone here and we will give you $150.00 of free stuff when everyone else is not, then one should perhaps choose move with caution.

Yes it is nationally advertized but I have not seen any of the adds large or plain enough to read the fine print that is always at the bottom.

Try a Better Business Bureau search on Wireless Advocates. I'm not saying they are all bad or they are the only ones to look out for, I'm just trying to get my ducks in a row before traveling 30 miles, only to find out I lose my unlimited data, or my 20% discount and the like.

I will be surprised if after Thursday or Friday we do not hear some complaints. Not shocked but I do expect to read something.

I'll be calling the Kennesaw GA store on the PM of 7th to see if they are ready for Thursday. Would love to meet any of you guys that are in the area.

I'm 6'2" 225 lbs, Blk w/gray hair and have a light beard. Lett me know and I'll team up with you and hold a spot in the line eh?

Yeh, I posted earlier one store said the 8th and the other said the 9th. The stores are 16 miles apart.

Report me if you wish, I was not out of line. You are asking questions to members on this forum where you should be asking them directly to VZW or Wireless Associates. If you get a wrong answer on here you can only blame yourself, if you get a wrong answer from VZW or Wireless Associates you can make someone accountable for the incorrect answers given on a product they are suposed to be trusted advisors on.

Ok I read the entire page and the guy took all the incorrect actions to remedy his problem. As I mentioned to you in a previous post, your contract is through Verizon if you don't understand or question Wireless Associates answers give VZW a call to verify. I just want to point something out, every company gets complaints filed against it through the BBB or other sites. Typically this happens when an uninformed customer doesn't know the correct channels to get the answer they want, or in situations that they feel they have had something done to them they don't agree with. Many times the reason is for something that could have been avoided if they read the contracts they were signing instead of assuming all will be good.

From my understanding they will not sell the phone at retail, only in contracts. I asked about the Charge when I bought it on contract. I will say that Wireless Associates policies do vary from spot to spot so I would suggest just giving them a call. I would assume that if they do sell if to someone at retail they wouldn't include the bundle deal since they are not making their money on the retail sell, its the contract sold that they are bringing money in on and can afford to entice people with the bundle.
