Yeah it looks like its got a lot going but after you play around with it 2 or 3 times the fog clears. Basically it lists your calendar events and also let's you insert notes in the list including S notes. All those things can also be grouped into categories. The left side of categories/folders scrolls and so does the list of events and tasks on the right hand side.

Is there any way to sync Google calendar with it?

Nothing mentions Google calendar. l do see a way to back up and restore using a web browser over WiFi to a device on the same Wi-Fi. Also you can back up and restore via USB to your PC. From reviews I see that the iPhone version can sync with Evernote and a Google account but the Samsung help web site for the app only mentions what I just referred to regarding backup and restore.
