That's with moderate use and 4g turned on all day. It's a razr so i can't complain much here.

I just rooted. Once i get a full charge and do the battery calibration and a full discharge/charge cycle, I'll see how my battery life is

when youre doing the battery calibration, is it recommended to have the phone turned off with the initial charge? or just not to do a lot of fiddling while its charging?

Idk how you guys do it. But this is my battery. On 2.3 and ics. Data is only on when the screen turns on. Brightness is usually set to 22%.

Light user here. Phone was off for a couple of hours. I keep my brightness around 9 percent. I also shut off my screen whenever I can. I use smart actions and I have an aggressive battery saver setting that turns off almost everything whenever the screen is not on.

Mines gone to crap also. Went in and cleared cache. Still no different. Im also noticing data drops and lack of data in areas i use to have it.

Turned off location services and 4G when I don't need it. Use Battery Extender Smart Action. Also turned down screen. Before, I'd be at 60% after 3 hours.

I can drop 22% over night without using. I unplug and let it stand overnight and will drop 22% in 8 hours so you are really doing something good and or a perfect phone

I have 2 Razrs and I did the same things to both and now both are getting remarkable battery life. First I took Network Mode off of Global and selected LTE/CDMA as the preferred network. I also wiped the cache part. on both phones.

I also noticed that if you do not change the network mode from global to LTE/CDMA and you try to use LTE on/off to set it to CDMA, it won't stick and will somehow change itself back to 4G after a while.

One or both of those things helped alot.

No. You need to get into recovery by first turning off your phone than holding the volume +/- rocker down while pressing the power button. Go down to recovery then volume + to select "recovery". I think you will get a droid lying on its back. Push both volume +/- then scroll down to wipe cache and select by pushing the power button.

The cache wipe totally worked to extend the battery life. Huge difference, but still unaccepatble IMO. Thanks for the info myersjesse.

I wiped the cache just the other day and my RAZR seems to have better battery life so far. Finally reached 10 hours with heavy use, which I would consider great since it was barely getting 6 before. I'm hoping it'll get better later since I got the phone just recently.
