Back cracking, cutting the best solution?

I've had my watch for around 3 days now and got the Pebble Steel watch band, today I noticed it started to grow a tiny crack on only one of the corners. I've looked around the Internet and seen this is common, most people suggest to cut the circular part just a bit so it's flat causing no tension with the watch band.
Can anyone confirm this works? Ever since I saw this little crack I've been wearing the watch very cautiously and it gets me a bit scared, lol.

Hey guys, so I was too eager to try this so I just went ahead and did it. Really recommend everyone to do it so you don't have those back cracks.
It was very easy to do, just get a hot knife and cut that semi circle off, now the watch bands can move anywhere they like and not cause any stress resulting on those cracks on the back.

I am on my second replacement for cracks. I wondered the same thing, and maybe why they cannot retool to just do this out of the factory. Nice work. May be able to clean the edges up with a fine file.

Cheers!

Damn. I can't replace mine since I live in Mexico, I cleaned off the edges nice, looks nice. The band doesn't put any pressure at all anymore and I can wear it anywhere on my wrist even on the part where it used to apply pressure and cause these cracks. Overall, I'm pretty happy with this solution.
