I'd like to get a backup charger for work, preferably a wall charger, 2A. And I'd like a new 2A car charger, as people are reporting that if you're driving and using the N2 with a standard 1am, you won't be charging but likely still draining.

So, best places for best prices? Sprint corp store offered to sell me one for a ridiculous price, I said no thanks.

Anyone have this one: http://www.amazon.com/PowerGen-Dual...ag=hawk-future-20&ascsubtag=UUacUvbUpU2274338

Or this one:

Monoprice.com has tons of stuff like chargers and cables at very fair prices.

Monoprice, Geez why didn't I think of them?! Now someone was saying the 2A chargers that claim to be iphone or ipad compatible are not android compatible??

The 1.8A Blackberry Blade charger works on my GS3 and the 6ft long cord is a great thing!!!

That is because apple doesn't follow the USB standards for dedicated chargers...... they are special :) Almost all the manufacturers cater to Apple. I had to modify my 1A car charger so my Note 1 would charge at the full 1A (I tied the D+ and D- pins together). The HP Touchpad AC chargers are cheap ($5, come with a nice long uUSB cord, and are rated at 2A or 2.1A) and charged my Note 1 at 1A without modification. I wonder if it will charge the Note 2 at 2A. Anyone with a Note 2 and HP Touchpad charger out there?

Can you tell us more about this wiring mod, with pinouts? Or just link me to what you are talking about?

I used an ipad charger on the note 1 and have a slew of generic chargers. They all charge but I didn't pay attention to the speed they charged at.

In this Wikipedia article Universal Serial Bus - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia check out the "Charging ports and accessory charging adapters" section and the "physical appearance" section. Here is an article about modifying your charger. How to Modify 1 Amp Car Chargers to show AC Mode

I've been using the same ac unit as nexus 7. It seems like it charges faster on it than the stock unit.
