Hello, quite new to the forum so sorry if I'm in the wrong area or section. I recently upgraded to jellybean and like others am experiencing some slowness in the operating system. Sure I get that it's from all previous 'clot' and I need to factory reset to resolve my issue. Problem being I have the 'hide it pro' app which helps me hide texts and data. I've figured out how to backup the data, quite easily in fact but I can't Google enough to find an answer as to how to backup the hidden text messages. And even if I can back then up, how to retrieve after installing the app after a fresh factory reset. Any help on this would be appreciated.

No not rooted. Will most likely do that when I get home from work today I think. I've heard good things about an app called 'titanium backup' or something. If I root the s3 do you think that would dig into the app and pull out the text data? This would be great as it solves my query however could be a potential threat to the security of the protected information within the app if a third party app can get into it and retrieve sensitive information

Hey, best app to back up stuff is mybackup! It backs up literally everything. Be careful to select everything when backing up your stuff as if you go again and just select the stuff you missed to back up again, it wipes out what it has already backed up.. Still then, its the best app on the market!!

U gota be rooted to backup the app data/settings (phone ends up pretty much how you left it) :) instead of just the app which your s3 should remember and d/load anyway when u reset it and put ur google details in (think gota be on wifi),
