Bad Battery Life w/ Root

They released 1.6, then added a few tweaks, so instead of adding those to the original download, there's a patch that you load over the existing rom which applies those added tweaks, so right now my bamf remix is version 1.6.2 (there was 2 patches since the release of 1.6)

I just used rom manager (thank god). It sounds like a lot more work than it actually is, just go to rom manager, download & flash the 1.6 rom, then go back to rom manager & download the extras for 1.6, it will give a list of patches you can add over the existing rom & it will do everything for you.

I've been just using whatever comes with the rom, I started my root with bamf remix 1.5 then upgraded to the 1.6.2 remix but haven't swapped any radios out

Hey forgetful You told me to clear the cache on the first page but if I use rom manger it gives me the two checks :

BACKUP EXISTING ROM ---> I should do it now if anything goes wrong right?
WIPE DATA AND CACHE ---> available to check
WIPE DAVLIK CACHE -----> available to check

If you're flashing a new rom, check all 3, wiping everything makes the install cleaner so you will have less issues once rom is installed.

I just assume that you will lose everything when you wipe. But you can just reinstall the extra stuff once you flash the new rom, I know it's a pain but I've done it so many times recently that it's not as big of a deal

When I put new skins, I used to wipe Davlik and the normal cache partition.

But in Rom Manger DATA and Partition are together, so how do I do it seperate without clockwork

If you wipe just the davlik, your settings SHOULD stay intact. I reflashed this rom after just wiping davlik & all my icons & settings stayed the way they were. I never just wiped the cache alone but davlik and cache you will lose everything. But I heard that if you're just upgrading the rom with a newer version you only need to wipe davlik

Through Rom manager, download & flash Rom, it will prompt you to wipe, check davlik & backup, then it'll install the Rom, after the Rom is installed & flashed, download & apply the patch from Rom manager, check off which patch you want & it should automatically do the rest

Okay flashed and did everything, will monitor battery usage, still seeing spikes in MAH though.

Same here, try clearing battery stats from the bamf tool kit app, it'll reboot your phone but it delete your previous stats & make your battery life better from what I hear, but mine still isn't showing any signs of improvement, let me know how yours goes

in under hour 10% lost.. idle :(

Okay it's definitely a rogue app, how do I deal with these permanently?
