Bad Battery Life w/ Root

My CPU fluctuations were all over the place & I couldn't figure it out. Now it looks like my phone is settling into my setup, my battery has only gone down 10% in the past 2 & a half hours. Get your settings the way you want them, then charge up your battery, calibrate it & just let it run its course, it should settle in

Okay I think it's settling cleared batt stats, and then I bump charged, so I'll monitor it.

Hey you know if there are any charging mats for the Thunderbolt?

I'm not as familiar with power mats, but my charger & usb cables from my old blackberry storm fit my tbolt so thankfully I don't have to buy any extra cables

I'm confused was just fine a few hours ago, now just lost 2% in 3 minutes idle

But the MAH usage is good it's only 50 MAH.

another %2 this is frustrating

Do you run your battery all the way down before charging again? I calibrated mine then ran it all the way down & recharged, it seems to make a difference.

No I read that these batteries are good to NOT let them go down.

Imma keep bump charging mine

Bad battery continues.. anything else i can try

edit: omg just lost 5% in 4 minutes wtf ! . Just basic functions of the phone waste my battery was on internet wi-fi and lost 4% visiting a website right after that last 5%. !! :O

Continuous full discharges on Lithium Ion batteries are bad but a battery calibration here or there isn't going to significantly hurt your battery. In the long run, it's better for partial discharges rather than full so putting it on the charger nightly is better than trying to stretch the battery across multiple days and waiting for the phone to go dead before charging.

If you don't already have the kernel manager app, get that from the market & download & flash bamf 4.4.5 kernel. I swapped it this afternoon & am at 72% after unplugging 4 hours ago. Try that & see what happens

everytime I put download & flash it returns me to the main menu of kernal manager lite?

which version is it? Because I saw that in kernel manager I only see 4.4.2. so like what version is it on the thread?

I've tried a few different kernels & each one works different for each phone, try each one for a day & see which one works best, it took me like 4 or 5 tries before finding the best one so try to be patient

Whenever I flash a new kernel I never get prompted to wipe either cache, kernel manager will just reboot with the new kernel.

Yeah but my kernel manager is messed up.

So if it just reboots, I'm assuming it's not wiping anything?

Correct, you can also download setcpu & play around with the settings when you use different kernels. That helps limit your cpu usage so its not running full speed if it doesn't have to
