I'd like a regular metal, stainless band. I sure hope those are available at some point. I don't have the Gear S just yet although I'm at the point of buying it at any given moment, today in fact and while the lack of metal, regular watch looking bands don't keep me from buying it....it does bum me out however.

I'd greatly appreciate it if someone got any word of them (metal, stainless bands) being announced somewhere if you'd share by posting that info up, and not those Diesel bands....not my style.

It came today... And I am glad I got one before the seller DOUBLED the already high price.

Very comfy more so than my stock band. I see inserting from the top will be my method. I have a sticker with 3 swarovski stones on my home button and going under pulled on them and my screen protector some... but all is well.

Thanks!!! I must say the bangle band shorter... I think it's more for a woman because I held it up next to my stock band and its an inch or more shorter.

I got it from the link posted in this thread above but I will repost they are on eBay in white they have the stock bands in black blue and mocha gray. The price is ridiculous now for all of these now. I paid less than half of that with the shipping and my shipping was free. Supply and demand I guess they know we can't get them here. I ordered on the 13th received 28th not too bad from Korea and I'm in NC.

I know there's been some buzz over on the XDA Forums about needing more bands as well.

For those of you with the watch/extra bands, what seems to be the likelihood of making a "watch band adapter" out of a replacement strap?

I'd really like a nice, metal band but no one seems to be making one nor does there seem to be much buzz for making Gear S accessories in the first place. I was thinking it would be pretty cool to get one of the White Bangle Straps, paint it with some strong Silver-metallic Spraypaint, cut it on each side and maybe use some industrial strength epoxy or something to attach a metal band to it. Anyone thought about doing something similar? I mean it would be great if someone just made metal bands for Gear S, but...

You might want to try this with the regular bands because the bangle band is shorter I don't think this would work well for men with larger wrist.

Here is a better way of putting it in perspective... I typically wear the stock band adjusted 5-6 holes up from the end of the band depending on if I am wearing my watch over long sleeves.

On the bangle band I'm in the next to the last hole or the very last hole again depending on sleeves so I barely made the cut...

Ahh, I see. Thanks for letting me know! I suppose if I cut the rubber housing down far enough it might be OK since I'd have the length of that plus the length of the actual metal band combined. But the bangle style does look considerably smaller, so perhaps you're right the regular strap might be the better option for doing this.

I had originally thought the bangle style would be better for this since the band itself doesn't get smaller as it gets to the clasp, making it far less difficult to choose where to cut the band since I could just keep cutting and it would be the same width all the way down. But that being said, those Bangle style prices aren't exactly convincing me that I need to buy that particular strap for a project like this either, so I probably will end up getting the regular one for the project. I wish we could just get some more accessories out on the market.

Looks like they've gone up to $55.99. I went on ahead and grabbed a white strap anyhow since I wanted the white watch but there wasn't one in my area.

Yeesh...C'mon Samsung. There's 140 people watching that listing per day, and these third party sellers are making a KILLING reselling these bands. Why not just sell them on Amazon/B&M Stores? Or on your own website, for that matter?

It's kinda crazy that a week from now the Gear S will be a month old and there still isn't a good way to buy official replacement bands in the U.S...Samsung, where you at?

Whoops, sorry about that. I meant to say a month old. You're correct, sorry about that. Just edited the post. That was actually my second time posting that, I got an error message the first time and had to start over. Had to retype most of it from memory and a few things got mistyped, like year as opposed to month
