basic question-How to uninstall an app on the HTC Incredible ?

sorry I know this is a basic question.

What is the best/proper way to uninstall downloaded apps. if I find that they don't work, or don't like them ???

Go to settings >manage apps and just delete

You can do it manually through the settings or you can also install an uninstaller app like Uninstaller (by Rhythm Software) which makes thinks super easy if you like to try out a lot of apps.

Unless you are having a problem doing so, you should use the Market to uninstall the app if that is where you got it from. Market > downloads > select app and Uninstall.

If you just bought the app, you normally can uninstall it via the market and get a refund.

Paid for apps should be able to be re-installed via the market as well.

Apps obtained via the market are linked to your gmail account used for the device. If you move to another device, or factory refresh it, you will be able to get back your apps via the market if you are still using the same gmail account.

+2 for installing apps thru the market unless you have a very specific reason not to do so.
