hey just wondering all of the sudden my DX is losing batt power used to get 12-16+ hrs now all of the sudden 6-10 give or take. i shut down unused apps ir forced stopped em. any ideas phone is only a month old

as far as my 3g it seems like its been not so great sometimes. ill look at it and its mostly on 1x ?????

Then id call vzw, they may be working on the network in your area or may have outage.
They'll open a svc ticket

Im in nyc area, and today all day I've been on 1x, where I usually have 3g. Verizon must be doing something ...

I am in Iowa, and my phone seems to go on 1X a lot, in areas I am usually on 3G. There have been times I can watch it bounce between the 2 over and over.

I think it's more then Verizon working on something. I am using the leaked 2.2, could it be that, never noticed it doing this on 2. 1.

And the phone being on 1X will eat more battery. And if it is jumping back and forth even more so.

1x should use less battery, i'm pretty sure it's the constant searching for 3g service that's draining it.

also, stop using task killers.

i did the 228 thing.... nuttin

Is there a way to limit the X to only 1X and stop the search for 3G? I know on my AT&T BlackBerry I could choose EDGE only and not use 3G.

did you install an app recently (or around when the battery problems started happening)?

that is definitely not normal

ok so went to app world found updates and saw there was one for KIK mess. said there was a fix for push/batt issues on last update for droid 2 capatability fingers crossed
