Battery Cover and Pressure on the screen

Hi all,

Stupid question for everyone. I know sometimes it takes a little force to get the battery cover back on, now maybe mine is just more stubborn, but figured I would ask. Any chance of ruining the screen (to much pressure etc) or cracking it from putting on the battery cover.

I'm obviously not slamming the thing down and kicking the cover back on, but I do have to apply some pressure to get it on.

Thanks all for any help!

Snapping the battery cover on correctly should take relatively little pressure. The most common mistake that people make is not inserting the tabs on the bottom edge before the going around to the rest of them. The cover should go on easily. If this was your problem, now you know, but if you were doing it right, then you have nothing to worry about screen-wise.

One side goes on fluidly, while the remaining side requires a fair bit if force. I am sometimes worried too, but just be careful with it and hopefully you'll be fine.

Easy solution:

Instead of pressing it in, slide your fingers from the bottom to the top to snap the tabs in, never taking your thumbs off the cover until you get to the top. (where you sort of have to take your thumbs off)

also, sometimes the little tabs get bent down, you might need to pry it back up with a little flat screwdriver or something to get it to seat correctly.
