Battery Disconnected Warning

I TRIED dropping it from 1/2 a foot and wasn't game to go further without exploring further. I TOOK OUT BATTERY HELD POWER SWITCH FOR A COUPLE OF MINUTES i then followed these other instructions, just take out the battery, Sim card and also the SD card.. Plug in the charger without the battery and press the power button for 10seconds... you are good to go.... ALL WORKS GOOD NOW AND I DIDN'T NEED TO DROP IT!!!!!

FIX WITHOUT DROPPING THE PHONE

Guys, reading this I ralized the problem was in the micro USB port where you plug in the charger.
Just plug in the charger and gently jerk it around while it is connected to the phone. It will work.

No need for drastic measures like dropping stuff or sacrifising an animal...

Just gave my Galaxy S4 Active hard taps at the back and it works! So dropping your phone should work too. This is hilarious. :D

I have the same problem with my galaxy S2. I have 2 batteries (original and non), both showed "battery disconnected" when being charged. I dropped it from 1/2 feet with non-ori battery installed. It's dead and heated like hell! I charged it but same still. But when I replaced it with the other battery, it works. It does charging normally.

I had the same problem. Just purchased a genuine Samsung battery. Reading this forum I took the battery out. Cleaned the contacts on the phone and battery and voila it is charging correctly.

after read all replied, so I decided to turn off my phone, disconnect battery and put it back, then plug in the charger back.... its work !
Better than hanging 1 ft off the floor and drop it.

I SWEAR TO GOD ALMIGHTY.
After reading the first page of this forum, I was like, WTF is going on here? Why are people seriously dropping their bloody phones? Then when I took out the battery, wiped inside, connected back and the same disconnecting problem happened, I was faced with doom.

I DROPPED IT.
FROM TWO FEET.
ONTO THE GROUND.
AND IT'S NOT DISCONNECTING ANYMORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank youuuuu!

Haha thanks so much it actually worked. I had my doubts at first and i had to drop my phone a couple of times(Harder each time) and tested if the warning went away, and it did on my third time dropping it.

I have a one month old AT&T Galaxy Note. Yesterday, I woke up to a "Disconnected Battery" warning. The battery didn't charge overnight due to this warning. Looked around this forum and didn't see anything. Then I did a search on Google and saw that this seems to be a fairly frequent occurrence with Samsung phones. Anyway, there were suggestions to remove the battery and wait an hour, try a different battery (I have one), clean the micro USB port, put a piece of tape/paper on the bottom of the battery and place it in the phone.... None of these worked. Then I read this forum: Galaxy note battery disconnected error? - I have a galaxy note running the latest version of gingerbread (2.3.6) & after trying to charge my phone using the car charger I keep getting a "battery disconnected" error every time I plug the phone to char
It says to drop the phone from about two feet and it'll get rid of this warning. There were a lot of replies that said it worked. What the heck, I tried it. I know it sounds stupid but I did drop it on a table while in its case. The only thing I can say is that I agree with all those other people, IT WORKED! Just thought I'd throw this out there for anyone who has the problem.

I just tried this on my S4 and it bloody worked! Haha this made my day

WHAT THE HELL IT WORKS ON MY PHONEEEE!!! i cant believe it! i tot i was crazy to do that. i just throw my phone and its start charging haha

My sons have two identical phones it's definitely the problem with the phone I ended up dropping the phone like people say and I'll be damned if it didn't work. I have no idea why dropping a phone makes it work
