Just an update. Im having a replacement sent to me because today it got really hot twice. I took the battery out to cool down and restarted. I also deleted my newest app to see if that was the problem which didn't seem like the problem since it continued to overheat and have battery drain

A few here have had similar problems and overheating is also one that seems popular...although fingers crossed all is fine in Duncan land.

I'm not sure what's going on but all of a sudden my battery is dying quickly. It's mid day and I'm under 50% brightness is low all day. Not on my phone that much either cuz I teach. Hopefully someone can help me out with this.

What is system manager application? I've never seen that on my battery list.... Not saying that's your issue, just curious...

i'm having exact same sudden battery drain for last couple of days, i also opened a topic;

the problem is definitely "android system" package, something inside it using lots of power which doesn't have to.

if it goes like this for couple of more days i'm thinking to do a factory reset, i tried everything until now.

I just got pissed today and called AT&T and had them send me a new one, should be here by next Monday.
They are paying for shipping both ways.

Well the battery drains faster when the phone is hot and mine always got really hot and shutdown a lot.
Simple tasks would make it lag and reboot. I had to remove the battery once to get it to startup.
So now I will get a new phone and hope it is not a refurbished one.
Funny thing though, they said they don't send the phones with batteries. ???

Yes I found that out to. So it's either gonna be the battery or the phone when we get the replacement lol

Did you charge it with a rapid charger?From the stats you posted it seem a battery fail. Can you replace it?

No use only original ones. The rapid charger is a normal charger with hight amperage that can charge batteries from 1% to 100% in 30 minutes. Only few devices support correctly this feature ( like BlackBerry phones) , instead normal phones ruin their battery in times.
Rapid charger are very commons. use always original battery and charger.

I'm pretty sure its not the battery as mine would always be around 85-125F.
The CPU was always over 100F and got up to 211F
We must have got one of the first batches of phones.
It is like the first Xbox's to come out, everyone always has problems.
We are all just beta testers...

Ah crap, I bought a new charger and 2 battery's off Amazon. Well guess I'll always have back up battery's. Lol

after a hard reset everything seems as it should be. i'm not seeing any 10%/hour battery drain.

Just got my replacement and am using it now. Battery was at 30% so I am charging it as well as using it to set everythung up and load everything back on it.

You should always do the first 3 charges with the phone completely off. Don't use it while its charging for those 3 charges.
