Since the February 1st security patch update on my Note 9 using T-Mobile my battery is draining a lot quicker. Anyone else having the same issue?

Hi, try clearing cache in recovery and also see anything in battery stats that's unusually high.

I' check the battery stats and I optimize every night clear things out. I haven't tried clearing the cache in Recovery where am I going to find that? Thanks

By doing this is it going to adversely affect anything else on my phone? I already had to totally rebuild all my apps and folders after a bad update a few months ago. I definitely don't want to do that again LOL
No it won't

Caches are always just temporary data, nothing crucial. Sometimes wonky data gets left over in the cache, which is why clearing it might help.

I noticed this as well but I am on the unlocked version. I think it is since the March security patch for me though I believe. Seems like the device is draining more than usual. I would normally keep my resolution to 1080 and that would usually help a bit but seems to still drain.

Yes, I noticed it, having to recharge phone a bit more often. Clearing caches and closing apps and web sites helps a lot. Doing an occasional cache partition clearing and trying to keep the battery above 35% or so. Trying not to fully charge either, stopping at 85 to 90 percent if I can catch it. If it goes to 100, no biggie, no lost sleep. The phone is running well, hope the security updates keep coming.

The February update definitely seemed to cause issues with battery and fingerprint scanners for a lot of users! Hope your issues get resolved soon!
