Battery Drains Faster After January Update

No it resets at midnight. So I'm sure for many like myself I'm using my phone past midnight with it plugged in to the charger. So its just accumulating screen on time and then by the time I take it off the charger in the morning and go throughout my day. The numbers actually skewed because it's been calculating not the time off the charger but just after midnight
Unless I'm completely misunderstanding you, I disagree with this completely. As I write this it is 6:05am, but here is my SOT. I just got up and have just picked up my phone.

Everytime I see a post in here I think it's about BB10 phones after the 4Jan2022 deadline / shutdown. Sorry. Had to mention.

Looking forward to the February update on my 4a5G. Battery is definitely wonky, as is my Google Assistant. The Google app is showing 33% battery usage, which seems high to me.

Make sure your going into Apps and looking at the SOT.

You're looking in a different menu than the one we've been talking about. What you're referring to is the Dashboard that shows things like Screen Time, Notifications Received, and Times Opened. That does reset at midnight, but doesn't give you any insight into battery usage. We've been talking about the Settings>Battery>Battery Usage menu, where if you tap the System Usage section, you'll see how much percent battery the Screen has used over the past 24 hrs in a rolling fashion.

I think the real question is. Why in the world would change to a stupid 24hr usage reading from the standard last full charge reading smh. Last 24 really isn't meaningful. We would like to know what's draining our battery from the second we take it off the charge. That way we can adjust our usage.

I agree with that. For that kind of information (and even more), I would just use Accubattery or GSam Battery Monitor.

What is the consensus on cellular? I spend most of my time on wifi but my beef before was if I went out for the day the battery would drop like a stone on mobile networks vs. wifi. Turning off 5g helped but still not great.

Is this still an issue?
