Does your dinc2 get really hot? Lately my battery temp seems really hot whenever I use the phone. The hottest has been 125 f when I use the phone. I went to the VZW store and the rep just told me that the phones warm up and is normal. He is sending me new battery. I had a fascinate before and it never was this hot. Wondering if the phone is bad.

Mine has gotten hot a few times.... But charging, using gps, and the phone being in rue sun in my car doesn't help. I have noticed it on occasion when charging and streaming music.. when that happens I reboot the phone and it helps. Doesn't seem to be a frequent problem for me, but I do understand what you're saying. Give the new battery a try and see if it helps.

what are you doing when the battery heats up? This happens to me all the time but its usually when i'm working the phone real hard. The day i bought i was downloading all my apps over 3G and actually got the over heating warning. It was downloading 30+ apps over mediocre 3G signal and having to install them all at the same time.
Now it gets hot from playing Peggle for 45 minutes. Its not unheard of.
If your battery is getting overheated just from charging and nothing else i'd say its the battery.
Through normal use mine doesn't heat up. Only during heavy use like downloading videos or playing games where the phone is being worked hard do I notice it warm up.
I had my battery replaced and seems better. Before it used to get 110 f plus after a few only minutes.
