Battery indicator says 1, why isn't it charging?

Phone charges but still says 1%

What phone do you have and how old is it? It's possible that the battery is starting to fail. Can you replace it for a new one?

Been doing this for a while
I have to constantly wipe cache partition to get it to read correctly
Still charges fine just always says 1% till I wipe cache partition

You probably have to recalibrate the battery file, and you have to be rooted to do that. Battery Calibration (Root)
