Hello,

My phone is just about a month old if not less. I had stellar battery life up until maybe 2-3 days ago. I have not installed any new apps. I lost 47% battery in half a day. I had only 30 MINUTES of SCREEN ON TIME, I read news for 15 mins and listened to podcast through Google Music Play for 25 minutes.

Here are my stats and screens.

Seriously wtf? I'am so tired of factory resets just to get battery back to normal. My wife running around 2 years with Iphone 6 that has not had any resets in 2 years and can go about a day with a battery. As you can see no 3rd party apps are acting up. Any help.

Chrome stats: 37% used
CPU Total 12m 26 seconds
Mobile radio active 2h 51 m!!!!
Computed power use 521 mAH!!!

Android system 20% used
CPU Total: 1h 20 mins
Stay awake 6h 34 mins
Power Used 273 mAh.

I never had these 2 so high, specially chrome.

Go to the Play Store, search for Chrome, uninstall, reinstall. Try that first, if you've not already.

After you do the suggestion above about chrome, clear Apps cache in Settings-Storage, and then do a Wipe cache partition in recovery Mode. Enter recovery Mode by power off, then press and hold Home, Volume Up and Power buttons for a couple of seconds until you see a message on screen, once it finishes the process you will be on recovery mode.

As a recent Android user - not convert, as I use an iPhone as well - I can say without hesitation that battery drain is by the far the biggest issue I have with the platform. It just doesn't happen to me on iOS and I do the same tasks with each platform. If I'm going to be away from a charger for a long time, it's the iPhone that comes with me and never the Android.

I agree that IOS is more static so far as battery life (and other things) goes, but, equally, there's plenty out there who get far better battery on Android than on IOS. Unlike IOS, all Androids are far from equal. When I had the LG G4, my wife's IP5 would ou- last it on most days - now, my S7 Edge annihilates her iPhone6.

Wish I had an easy culprit on mine. I'm getting severe battery life drop and my main culprits are Android System and Android OS, with some Screen time today - but most other days it is Android System and Android OS that kills the battery.

Yeah exactly, same here.

I was getting high Android OS and Android System readings 2 weeks ago right after the update, going into 30s. I just did a cache wipe, and now those two rarely go beyond 15%.

Same here... Can't figure out what's the problem. No new apps installed, using the phone same as always

I've given the cache wipe a try today. Hopefully that helps as I was very impressed initially by the G7 and recently tethering to power has caused me to re-evaluate some.

Similar situation. And started a couple weeks ago. Already wiped partition cache and installed apps.
