Battery life issues?!?

What he said is valid only for him. Because you or I or anybody else aren't using phone like he does.

Is m9 battery decent and enough for one day use? Sure. Is it better than m8? No.

So I'm suppose to value some algorithm that mimics real world use over actual real word use? Again, what he has to say isn't the end all be all. But I will take the opinion of several people who have used it on a daily basis to build a consensus over a synthetic computer program. I feel like we are living the Matrix with some of these comments.

You can pick and choose whichever results you like. I will go with the test results from GSMarena, Ars, and Anandtech. I don't know anything about those "several people who have used it", I can guarantee you their usage is 200% different from mine, so I know exactly their conclusion means next to nothing to me.

How battery works is rocket science, I can understand picking "feelings" when there is nothing solid to rely on, but pick "feeling" when there is data available? Not me.

My Battery Life On My M9 Sucks BIG TIME. i hope they come out with a fix or refund my money back cause i am starting to think this phone is just a waste of money. I Am going back to my M8

See, as I stated in another thread you will have a lot of people returning their M9s. Let the returns begin!

You've made 11 post so far, 9 of which bashing the HTC M9. Anything you say has no validity what so ever.

I'm not interested in what anyone has to say about the M9 unless they actually own the device. And for anyone who claims to be returning it I will not even consider bieng legit unless they can prove they had it in the first place - Adam

Put some pictures up of battery usage from the m9

Every time someone makes a post you and any of your fanboys disagree with you all act like how Katie Perry dances, which is horrible. Can't take the facts then don't read the comments. Don't know why you take the time to reply to VALID complaints about the phone. It's like you have nothing better to do but to try and invalidate factual information. We are all glad you are getting the phone but I know people are tired of your skittles and rainbows approach like the phone is perfect. The M9 is far from perfect and people will order and return the phone. If the phone was perfect this forum would be filled with buyers and you wouldn't have been able to pre-order a phone because the demand would have shut websites down. My point is that you need to relax.

Yes that's the absolute truth and the most sensible thing said all year. In fact the servers from all carriers, Best Buy, HTC, Amazon, etc should all think they are experiencing a DDoS attack if the demand was really that high. In fact based on the number of posts here, I say that the M9 won't sell more than half of a half a dozen. Those are facts.

People will order and return the s6 also, and from what I am reading in the samung forum, which I don't make any comments there is that battery life seems to be pretty bad.

Those are actually assumptions not facts, give me proof and ill accept them as facts - Adam

I'm wondering if there's an issue with Lollipop not being properly optimized for 64-bit processors yet. Yes, it supports 64-bit, but maybe it could be optimized better. S6 and M9 use different chips, but both suffer poor battery life. The GFlex2 is even worse I've read. Maybe this whole battery thing could be addressed on Google's end?

It would explain why the Oneplus One (arguably the best battery life you can buy) hasn't released Lollipop upgrade yet. Or is that a 32bit chip? I can't remember

I'm pretty sure, but not positive that it's 32-bit. I'm thinking they haven't done Lollipop because they're in the process of going from Cyanogen to their own custom skin.I posted a thread in the Lollipop forum to see if I can get an answer. I don't know much about how all that stuff works. Just seems like an idea seeing that all 64- bit devices are suffering from poor battery life, no matter which processor is being used.

I was so being sarcastic. I'd never say something that outlandish with a straight face...lol

Haha! I was thinking you wouldn't say such.
I was lucky enough to have been given an M9 a couple of weeks ago. I've had approx 1gb of updates with a further update expected tomorrow. Battery life has been fine to be honest. Gets me through the day without a problem.

That's a lot of updates. What have been the major changes requiring so much space?

I did wonder you know, i thought it seemed out of character. I almost didn't post just incase to save myself from embarassment. My sarcasm radar was way off there, my apologies - Adam

Can you post your GSAM screenshots please?
