Battery life on 3G

I currently use a Droid Bionic but have a SGN on the way. With my Bionic I usually keep it on 3G unless I need to download something. I have the extended battery and am at about 50% after 18 hours on an average day. I haven't read much about battery life on the SGN when leaving it on 3G. I'm hoping to get similar results. Is that likely?

I use 3G and only go to 4G when 3G is not available. I also get great battery life, but I am not not a heavy user of the phone or apps. With the stock battery I never run below 50% on any given day.

The SGN does not get the battery life other phones get from the same mAh. In my experience it gets about half the life span as other current phones out per mAh. If the phone is rooted and ROMed this battery power is not just wasted but it provides an excellent experience. If you under-clock and under-volt it you can get a good 30-40% more out of the battery with no noticeable lose in performance. Stock does not seem to make good use of the battery.

Live in NYC. I never turn off 4G and I use my phone heavily. I only have 39 apps installed however. I'm up and at it early and get home typically after 10 and usually have between 40% left. To give you an idea in a month I send around 5000 text, excluding internet and phone etc. So like anything else its hit or miss with the device you get. But for me its just fine. Btw I'm stock all the way.

I run 3G only unless I'm going to be doing some big downloading or surfing. I would say I can generally get 2 days use out of each charge. I'm currently at 75% after 16 hours of use

If you cannot get a good day's use from this phone you are hopelessly addicted to Youtube, or using way too much GPS. Get a life!
