Redid the chart including the data from all the screenshots in this thread so far:
Our mean SOT is 7.0 hours and mean up time is 37.9 hours, when the trend from each screenshot is extended to 100% (value/percent used). The standard deviation of SOT is 2.1 hours and the standard deviation of usage time is 17.4 hours.
Our median SOT is 7.5 hours and median up time is 34.7 hours.
Values where less than 2% of the battery was used tend to create outliers, both on the high and low end of the spectrum. If I removed everything more than two standard deviations from the mean, we get these values: SOT Mean 7.1 hours with St Dev of 1.8 hours; Total time Mean 35.3 hours with St Dev of 13.7 hours.
Based on that data, most of us should be experiencing between 5.2 and 8.9 hours of screen on time on a charge that lasts between 21.6 and 49.0 hours. But that's at 100%*. And that should work across, so that 5 hours of SOT should be over the course of two days, while 9 hours of screen time would be the expected max for a single day.
The ratio of total to screen on time, at the low screen high total end of the 1st standard deviation is 9.4:1, while the other band has a ratio of 2.4:1. From the low band to the high band, each additional hour of screen time comes at the expense of an average of 7.4 hours of total up time.
*Given that this data is presented with the trend at a full 100% of battery, and that recommendations are to not allow the battery below 20%, multiplying each value by .8 would give us a better representation of the values most people will actually experience. This would give us a mean of 5.1 hours SOT and over 25 hours of up time, a median of 5.9 hours of SOT with 26 hours of up time, and so normal use would be to experience approximately 5.5 hours of screen on time in a 24 hour period, with a standard deviation of 2.8 hours SOT and 11.7 hours of up time. This means that 7+ hours of SOT in a 12 hour period is pretty normal as is getting 36 hours or more up time, with around 3 hours of SOT, and then plugging in at around 20%.
Working on one more chart to show the expected values as such. ^^
