Battery life......

Here's a new screenshot of my new phone (had to replace my first one)

Not bad :) got to try out the s-beam feature as well as well as other features today.

Pretty happy with this. :) but ive had better screen time before with my other S4.

I do want to know if in my second picture the "awake" & "screen on" graphs arent lining up is normal?

How much time was spent on the phone the last day? It's not even top 5 on this screen. What good is a cell phone if calls are never placed?

different strokes for different folks on how we all choose to use our phones. I don't spend my days on the phone to talk on for hours - I don't run a business to be on the phone at all times.. I'm a student at school most days and so I don't need to be on the phone.. I'm usually with the people I need to be with and use the phone to call people if I really need to... most times I text and that's how I communicate with people.. through text and e-mail that's what's most convenient for me and the people I need to communicate with.

Yes I use the phone to call though - duh that's why I have it for.. but i don't sit there and spend hours on end..

I don't know why you're picking on me.. and asking me what good is the phone if calls are never placed.. Just because it wasn't listed as top 5 doesn't mean i never used it.

I am not picking on you. I said all of the pics. I just quoted your's as an example, because it was the last one. Your pic is like almost everyone's pics who have this phone.

All of the 12+ hour users, don't seem to be making phone calls.

The rip on the galaxy phones is the weak cell radio, Note 2 not included. No one is telling you how to use your phone.

Does anyone use this phone to make phone calls, who can post a screen shot with battery life with even 30 minutes of talk time for an entire day?

I had 100% charge on my s4 on friday morning at 7am. By noon with light usage and majority of the features(gps wifi bluetoth air gestures) turned off, my battery was down to a dismal 42% by noon. By the time it was 5pm, it was down to 10%. I was hardly using the fone since I was at work. My battery usage details showed that the screen was taking up 81% of my battery . I went back to at&t on saturday and they gave me a new handset. I have been on this handset for 1.5 hrs now and the battery has gone down to 82%. This is so so disapointing seeing the sort of battery life other people on this forum are getting. I dont know whats wrong with 2 brand new handsets. Also last night my screen usage randomly went down to 48% which is the lowest I have seen it go so far. I have not even started using this phone to its full capacity and this is the state of my battery life

Update: After 8 hours of usage, my phone is pretty much about to die. 17%. Also, the applications that are shown in this picture are NOT running in the background. I closed them, but the battery usage refresh is not picking that up for some reason.

This is my second handset from the same store...I'm starting to think that store is sitting on a batch of crap handsets. :(:(:(

I'm not complaining about battery life, but I am playing with this 2X app that seems to have rave reviews. I'm trying to research it for what the downsides may be, specifically when it comes to app notifications.

Does anyone know if this app will cause delays of notifications of emails, snap chat, instant messages, Facebook etc?

What are your Google Maps settings? My first day was ~19 Hours on it's first full charge. But for it's second I ran into this. The keep awake time is NUTS on google maps all the sudden, and this all happened overnight while the phone was in idle.

[RESIZING PICS] My Bad...not used to a 1080 phone yet :-!
Okay Here we are...I really don't wanna mess with location services. I like the abilities it yields, I don't know what ramped it up all the sudden from day one to two. I also never seem to see the gps marker in the taskbar either, So I can't tell what the heck is going on. Right now the keep awake time is going up still AND I'm using nothing regarding maps. I even chose to turn GPS off (leaving google/carrier on). It's still at 32% of my battery use.

I don't think most people use their phones for a lot of talking nowadays. I know me and my friends mostly text and use social networks. We only call if it's too much to type out.
