Battery replacement/issues

Right I've just swapped an iPhone 5 I had for a lg g2 and he threw in an icloud locked 5c (have checked and it's not stolen just can't get in contact with previous owner so it's essentially a paperweight right now) but the battery seems screwed, which I'm assuming is due to age of it (went from fully charged to 65% in 90 mins with screen off) have been in touch with lg technical support and they can't notice anything up with the data from battery usage particularly.

So my question is how difficult a job is it to change the battery myself or should I get someone to do it. I could just get in touch with the bloke n try and get my iPhone back but I really don't want to

It'd still help to see some battery stats, in case something in particular is causing the drain, and not just a failing battery. Charge up to 100%, then let it drain to 20-30% with normal usage, without charging in between. Then show us:

1. The main Settings>Battery screen.
2. The fullscreen battery graph screen (which shows Awake time and Cell Signal Strength).
3. The Screen category (to see total Screen On time).
4. The Cell Standby category, if present (to see Time Without Signal).

Yes, but let it drop to 20%, not by​ 20%. It's more useful to see the stats after it's used most of its charge.

Although it's been in my pocket midst of the day and not been used (on a side note turning auto brightness of appears to have helped)

Ok, that's more helpful. You're right, not very good numbers. But I see that you have 9% time without cell signal, which may mean significantly more time with poor signal--and that can eat up battery. Is there any graphic representation of the signal strength during that period? It's usually on the fullscreen battery graph, but some manufacturers don't have it there.

What happens if you turn on Airplane Mode for an entire charge cycle? You can still turn on wi-fi after Airplane Mode has been activated. If the battery level still drops quickly with the cell radio off, then poor signal isn't a big factor, and it may just be an old failing battery, as you originally suspected.

Airplane mode does help but you'd expect that as the phone is doing nothing can't see signal strength on a graph will have another look and try that anyway but it is starting to look like battery replacement which by the looks of it isn't that difficult

Right just to let you all know I've changed the battery (it was a pain in the *** but done!) and now it seems to be running ridiculously better now thank god, can get on with enjoying the phone now
