I just hope so much of this speculation ends soon. I need a phone!

I hear you DolfanCole, loud and clear.

I think I will head to AT&T on Oct. 2 for a Samsung S2 trial run if VZW does not come out with some news to keep me waiting a little longer.

4G will not be hear for who knows how long 90 miles north of Seattle. 3G may be the way to go for me.

I didn't mean to infer that the Bionic had a second gen. LTE radio, only that it was different. And if it was different, then the manufacturer seems to have a large control over what will be used, and it's not solely up to the carrier as you seemed to infer in your prior post.

I think you misunderstood my last sentence too. I'm counting the TBolt, Charge, Revolution, and Bionic as basically the first flight of LTE devices, and the Charge 2/Prime/Whatever, Vigor, Nexus, Revolution 2 (basically, the newly upcoming LTE devices) as the second flight. It seems that they might not have a second gen. radio either?

Gotcha. Well, I doubt any of the next wave will have the first revision radios either. They may have slightly different radios, but not the multimode chips the first revision will have. I recall BMX saying something to the effect of that we shouldn't expect any second generation chips until after the holidays. (so probably debuting at CES again)

Which means mid summer 2012 release of phones with second Gen radios.

Honestly the Revolution 2 looks nice too with that screen. I just wish it was running Krait.
