Battery stuck at 80%, and dies immediately.

My s6 is stuck at 80% battery life, no matter how long I charge it. And when I unplug it, it will die instantly and go to the charging screen. If I just hold the power button it will go black, then right back to the charging screen. To get it functioning I have to hold the power, home, and volume down button.

Perhaps the battery needs replacing?

Thats what I'm hoping. It's cheap and easy. Hoping it's not water damage some where. Ithe hasn't been submerged, but a little precipitation from the shower and what not.

Let us know how it goes, and welcome aboard as a new member. I'll also try a grab a second opinion....I'm not a Samsung user and this may be some Samsung thing or other.

Yeah, sounds like your only option here is to have it looked at/serviced. It could be a number of things... from a bad battery, to a faulty lead, to something more serious like a problem on the main board.
