Hi DaveDFD,

I'm just one week on with the GS3 myself, but I've noticed that you can clear cache for any particular app by going to:

1) Settings > Application manager > All . . .and then tapping on any app, and then tap on 'Clear cache',
(although in most cases the cache seems to @ 0.00)

2) the app drawer, and then dragging any app down to 'App info', and then tap on 'Clear cache',
(although in most cases the cache seems to @ 0.00)

3) or, by downloading, e.g.- an app called 'History Eraser' . . .which lets you keep several apps histories & cache check-boxes checked---where you can then go to it's 'Settings' and set-up 'Auto Clear'---for what you want cleaned or dumped automatically upon startup & screen off, etc.; whether you want to clear SMS & MMS, or to delete locked SMS & MMS, and whether or not you want the HE icon to show in the Notification toolbar for quick access switching, etc. Then, once you've set-up the 'Settings' you can just tap 'Clean' at anytime.
After one week of using HE, it seems to be stable. Only thing is, it just seems to constantly re-populate, so in that sense it seems a bit gimmicky, I guess.

I was at an AT&T store last night, and one of the sales rep's told me not to ever load the app called 'Advanced Task Manager', by the same company, INFOLIFE, as, according to him, the ATM app can actually corrupt the GS3's protocols and stock system files, etc. So, if that's true, then it might be wise to stay away from dl'ing any task managers. It'll be interesting to see what other user's think about that. In fact, if you do a search here @ AC, I think I saw a thread about 'Advanced Task Manager.'

Btw . . I seem to be getting pretty good battery performance now, by keeping Settings > Power saving--on; Display > Brightness set low w/ 'auto brightness'--off; all email syncing set to 'never' (so you just sync your email whenever you want to, manually); Settings > Location services--all off (until you need them to be on); and of course Settings > Bluetooth--off (if you don't need it on, until you're in your vehicle).
